Why choose us

No company number required

๐Ÿ”

A broad panel

We work with a broad panel of lenders rather than a single provider, so your details reach the ones most likely to consider you.

๐Ÿ“‹

Assessed as you actually trade

Plenty of van finance sites quietly assume a limited company with filed accounts. We work with lenders who understand a one-person trade and price it fairly.

Common Questions

Sole trader van finance, answered

Yes. As a sole trader you and the business are the same legal entity, so the lender assesses your personal credit file alongside your trading income and the van is financed in your own name.
Photo ID, proof of address, and usually three to six months of business bank statements plus your latest SA302 with tax year overview. Two years of trading makes it straightforward; twelve months is workable with a stronger credit file.
Sometimes, though the panel narrows. Lenders will look at your trading income to date plus personal credit history โ€” tell us honestly how long you've been trading and we'll point you at lenders realistic for that.
No. Trading below the threshold is completely normal and does not stop you getting finance. It only affects whether there's VAT to reclaim, which is worth confirming with your accountant.
Hire purchase builds towards ownership and suits traders who run a van for years; leasing fixes the monthly cost but you never own it. We'll talk through both against how you actually use the van.
