Convicted Driver

Convictions on your licence?
You can still get covered.

Points, a ban or a conviction narrows the market sharply — but specialist insurers exist precisely for this, and they are not on the comparison sites.

Simple Process

How it works

01

Tell us about the risk

Your details, the vehicle, how it is used and anything on your licence. Accuracy here matters more than anywhere else.

02

We approach the market

We put your details to insurers and schemes that cover your circumstances, including specialist markets you cannot reach direct.

03

Quotes come back to you

You see the cover, the excess and the price. You decide — there is no obligation to take any of them.

04

Cover starts

Once you choose, the insurer sets your policy up and the documents come from them direct.

Why choose us

The market that still says yes

🔍

Specialist markets

Convictions, claims, non-standard use and unusual vehicles — the schemes that cover these rarely appear on comparison sites.

📋

Declared properly

Non-disclosure is what voids policies. We make sure everything is on the record, so a claim cannot be refused for something you forgot to mention.

Quick turnaround

Most enquiries get a response within two hours, so you are not left off the road waiting.

🛡️

Cover that actually fits

The cheapest premium is worthless if the cover is wrong for how you use the vehicle. We check that first.

Common Questions

Convicted driver insurance, answered

Motoring convictions generally need declaring for five years from conviction, and eleven years for drink and drug driving offences such as DR10. Insurers ask about the period they care about — answer exactly what is asked, and answer it fully.
Some insurers will decline, which is why comparison sites often return little or nothing. Specialist schemes exist for exactly these risks. The premium will be higher, but cover is usually obtainable.
Tell us now. Non-disclosure, even accidental, gives an insurer grounds to void the policy and refuse a claim, which causes far more damage long term than the higher premium would have. It is always better corrected than hidden.
No, though the first policy after a disqualification is the most expensive one you will buy. It improves each year as the conviction ages, particularly once you build claim-free years back up.
Three or six points for a minor speeding offence has a modest effect. Totting up to twelve, or codes like DR10, IN10 or CU80, has a much bigger one. The code matters more than the number.
